 Scott Cluthe is the Executive Director and Host of Wisdom Today, a daily 2 hour talk show focused on the latest information on Body, Mind Spirit and Earth.
 Broadcast on both Wisdom Radio, www.wisdomradio.com, and also Sirius Satellite Radio, www.sirius.com, his program is heard from coast to coast Mondays through Fridays. Scott talks with authors, experts, teachers and listeners on everything under the Sun, and beyond. 1. Tell us about a time when you were in fear about your creative career journey and you didn't think it would go anywhere...
My late wife Emily and I were hosting a daily AM talk show called Conversations Radio. On a Friday in August the General Manager of the FM station, who also oversaw the AM radio, called me into his office and informed me that the time slot I had been hosting and marketing was being turned over to a group who had "bought" the time from the station. What a blow! Emily and I had worked so hard to create a community and listening audience, with no support at all from the station management. It was not to be at that time in those circumstances, but it was a very difficult time to live through. As fate would have it, a few days later Emily noticed a little bulletin in one of her favorite magazines about a network called "Wisdom Radio" that was just getting started. The same network I broadcast on coast to coast today!
2. Tell us about a time when you were feeling confident about your creative career journey and you absolutely knew you were going to be okay....
The day the program development director for Wisdom Radio called me up and asked me to develop a model for a daily talk show, then called 4 months later to give a start date!
3. How did you discover your passion?
I was listening to a public broadcasting station in Houston, and the DJ said something about, "well, we sure could use some help down here so stop by if you want to volunteer and learn radio." The next day he sure was surprised when I showed up in the studio at 9 am in the morning! His name was Charlie Parks, and he became both my mentor and close friend for many years. Thank you Charlie!
