CREATIVE CAREER TRANSITIONS / BRAZEN PURPOSE
LIVING FROM LOVE INSTEAD OF FEAR
Peace First. Passion Second: The Order of Turning Your Life Around

Peace first. Passion second.
It’s a simple recipe for a fully successful life. Still, few cook it up.
Relax. Forgive yourself. Trust where you stand in your life right now. Trust the crinkle-eyed Magician who lives and rejoices within.
From a place of self-love, self-knowledge comes. Wonder resides. Direction emerges. Passion spreads its wings. Air currents align.
The relaxed know how to fly. Those who push to the front of the line, struggle to tear answers from their heads, count the seconds wasting from their lives, and blame their mothers, husbands, left wing leaders, muscle pain and lousy local economy-- do not light upon genius. If you’re pissed, you’re never blessed—especially if you’re angry at yourself.
Fear attracts fear. Love attracts love.
And love doesn’t just muck around in striped flannel pajamas cherry picking channels. Love starts
listening to inspiration. Love receives the frequencies of a higher intelligence. Love stirs hearts and beats the jungle drums around it. Revolutions start. The world is never the same again.
Peace of mind is so underrated in a world of grasping achievers. Yet it’s a portal.
It’s not passive or numbing. It’s a different brain chemistry. And a new orbit. New galaxies, guaranteed.
Are you trying to push forward in something?
How would you feel about your situation if there was no urgency?
What if you didn’t feel guilty?
Relax for a second or a year. What simple step emerges now…just for now? There you go.
Peace first. Passion second.

Dear Tama, As I read your post in my imagination I went to my favorite way to feel peaceful. It's when I'm watching a hawk and maybe her mate glide in the air. Unlike other birds they do not flap their wings vigorously. Rather they simply glide on the wind currents. This must be what it's like to relax in the arms of God--to just let go. It's the closest I come to feeling peace and even joy as I imagine how joyfull these hawks feel gliding on the wings of love.
Thank You for reminding me...
I LOVE TAMA-CISED! That's
I LOVE TAMA-CISED! That's exactly how I feel! It's like a breath of fresh air....
So wonderful to really begin to BREATHE FREELY!
Praying Peace
Tama, I LOVE this blog. It's so true! Long ago, far away, I came to a place of peace in the form of a hospital emergency room. All my fears were there too. Something was very, very wrong. I'd followed the code, took my place in line, worked long hours, shined the golden handcuffs. My body screamed "enough!" and my heart hurt. Since then the practice of peace led to searching, which led to knowing, which led to passion for life and the creative experience abundant and everywhere. Peace and passion opened the doors for the writer, the presenter, the goofy drummer who loves to jam with others. It lead to a good life that is not dependent on the golden handcuffs of a unrewarding income. All I need is a butterfly and a camera or foo coffee with a good friend...and a pen. I just completed my certification for Wellness/Health coaching yesterday. Today, I was blessed to hear from my first paying client. Today, a conference presentation was offered and finalized. Peace leads to passion and its a sweet, sweet feeling.
Still though, my heart goes out to those still in the prison of jobs that aren't healthy or right for them. I see it in their eyes. "I am stuck" "I have no other options" "I don't know what my passion is" And, I bless them by praying peace...I invite them to feel peace, if only for a moment. The process begins.
Shortly after my hospital stay I picked up your book. Since then its pages have been worn by myself and others. Peace came crashing in on a beach for you...and those waves have resounded around the world. Thanks for leading the way for this peacekeeper.
Love, peace and foo foo coffee, KJ
wow...to KJ
I don't know what landed you in the hospital ER but I'm thankful for your post, and for what I learned from what you learned. I am one of those "stuck" in a job I have grown to despair of and in for the past 28 years...but unlike you, I have yet to emerge from the pit! Please send up prayers and good thoughts that I can find the inner strength to let go and step out into a bright, new life of living what I love.
I've been Tamacized Yet Again! YAY!
I'm working on having less struggle and more peace - and turn to your words repeatedly to find what I need to understand more deeply.
We have a group of friends we call "The Sisterhood of the Cork" and we are constantly improving our daily lives because of the freedom your thoughts give us.
We call it being "Tamacized", but it's such validation during this time of transition.
And we are finding peace is important as a first priority - passion can take a lot out of a girl without it.
So, thanks. Very much.
Gotta fly ;o)
- Jennifer
Thanks again for having just
Thanks again for having just the right words that I needed to hear today! Yesterday, I let a LOT of things get to me to the point that I was stressed enough to cause my 11 year old lab to go into stress mode too:-( We did not sleep at all last night which only proves your point that a little peace can go a long way! I'm going to do my darndest today to Let Go & Let God...cause He knows what needs to happen in my life even when I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off...yeah, I know lovely analogy, but too true about last night. Very much appreciated your words of wisdom. You've been awesome about hitting things on the head lately for where I am in my crazy journey!
Thanks again!!!!!
I came here from Nadine
I came here from Nadine Galinsky Feldman's blog, "A Woman's Nest."
This was a great post for me to read. I'm always swimming up stream and forgetting to bring the inner tube to let me just relax. Your words are akin to that inner tube; they remind me to STOP and take a deep breath.
Today, this are words I needed to read. I love this about blogging. It never fails. When I'm struggling, I will land on a site or two that give me the wisdom I need to hear.
Thanks:~)
